If it matters to your community, it should matter to you. The Chamber focuses the time and talents of its members on the important business and civic issues of the community – helping to create a climate of growth and success for all. Through lobbying, testifying, developing key relationships, grassroots activities, and tracking bills and regulations, we promote pro-business and fight anti-business legislation.
• We take great pride in our ability to give our members direct access to legislators and elected officials through various programs and events, including Small Business Day in Albany, Small Business Summit in Washington, DC and two Legislative Dialogues.
• GreaterBinghamtonVotes.com, the Chamber’s voter education and communication website, serves as a legislative and political advocacy action center designed to provide convenient and resourceful access to election and government information.
• Founding member and active supporter of Unshackle Upstate Initiative. We have joined a coalition of Chambers and business organizations from across Upstate New York, whose goal is to achieve reforms in Albany that make Upstate a stronger place to do business.
• Annual Legislative Survey and Agenda. This survey uses input from Chamber member businesses to determine what legislative issues have the biggest impact on their businesses and works to affect reform.
